Microchipping At Suntop we also offer a microchipping service for your dog or cat. This is a permanent form of identification for your dog or cat.
Cost £25.00 (Discounts available if more than one pet being chipped)
Recent boarders Sid and Nancy took advantage of this service, giving their owners peace of mind when it comes to identification.

What is a Microchip?
A tiny, glass, inert capsule the size of a grain of rice containing an identification number linking you to your pet.
How does it work?
If the unthinkable happens and your pet wanders away- a vet, rescue centre or dog warden will use a small hand held scanner to detect the microchip number. This number is registered with PetLog, the national central database run by the Kennel Club. PetLog will confirm your contact details and you will be reunited with your pet.
Where is the implant site?
Under the skin between the shoulder blades.
How long will it take to implant the microchip?
Just a few moments. In fact, by the time you complete the PetLog registration form your pet will be protected by the latest I.D. technology.
How long does registration last?
Your pet is registered for life!
Passport scheme for pets
Any animal going on the passport scheme must have a microchip in order to comply with the regulations.
